Today, we joined a full day tour of exotic Marrakesh. We saw (from a distance) the towering Koutoubia Minaret, then visited the Jewish Quarter, Dar Si Said Museum, Menara Gardens, and Saadian Tombs. We continued to Jemaa El Fna Square in the Medina district, where street performers, storytellers, snake charmers, and magicians performed and entertained (for a coerced donation).
We did quite a bit of shopping. Peter and Emilia bought Craig's Christmas present, a soccer jersey. I bought a hat. The biggest hat anybody in the market had ever seen. They were all quite amazed. (They haven't seen Sam yet!)
We did not choose the optional dinner in Jemaa El Fna Square. We ate at the hotel. All the food seems to taste the same! What a difference.
As I've said many times, I'm not much on text, so about all you'll see are pictures. If you want explanations, e-mail Denise. She knows and sees all.
